New day and time!

Cor Sanctum will meet Fridays in September from 7pm to 9pm, and they want to get feedback from their devoted fans.  They have a new sound, and several new songs.  They are also planning to record a new LIVE album.

Come be part of the Cor Sanctum Electric Experience!

St. Peter’s McMahon Hall, Uppper Room, 27th and Leavenworth St, Omaha, NE.

Please email nancytefft@yahoo.com if you are interested.  You will receive a cell number to call when you arrive, and a band member will let you in.

Although the morning was dreary, it turned out to be a very nice day.  Stephen arrived at the park, set up in front of an audience of about 45 or so.  We would like to offer a special thanks to the Hanscom Park Neighborhood Association for their support of the Concerts in the Park Series.  Without whom we would not have had an audience.

The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful, and the area did not have readily accessible power.  Stephen did a completely acoustic set.  If you are a nature lover, this was your concert!  After the concert children from the audience continued singing his family-friendly tunes as they went off to play.  All in all, it was a very nice day.

It’s a Very Good Day

Please join Stephen M. Tefft for his second concert in the park on Sunday, August 16th.  If our group is the majority–like last week–he will have the opportunity to perform more of his religious tunes.   Concert begins at 6pm.  Please come early to get a good seat.

Cor Sanctum is proud to announce they will be opening their rehearsals to the public.  This will be an opportunity for the band to get an immediate response to their new sounds, as well as an opportunity for faithful fans to get a preview of their hard work and perhaps a brief theological tutorial.

Practices begin at 7pm every Tuesday night, but not every practice will be open to the public.  Keep watching this post for more details!

Sunday’s concert was a bright spot in an otherwise dreary day.  Amid storms, a brave group of people known as the Primetimers from St. Wenceslaus Parish in Omaha ventured out to make a day of the festivites with games and a picnic in the Elkhorn park.  With the frequent showers, many wondered if there would be any music at all.

Stephen showed up as scheduled, but he had left his religious music at home.  He had been told that this would be a secular performance and to prepare accordingly.

Little did he know his secular audience would be comprised of retired Catholics from his own town!  He enjoyed the irony and played his set.  The rain had stopped, and the audience enjoyed sitting outside listening to the sweet acoustic tunes.

The favorite of the evening was “The Coffee Song”.  Many of the audience members are eagerly anticipating its recording.  He hopes to have it ready for sale before the next concert.  The Primetimers have promised to attend.

Congratulations to the founding members of Holy Heart Media!  They have been working diligently to complete their bylaws and establish their non-profit status.  Once the paperwork is in and approved, they will have the opportunity to produce great works for God in a forum designed to be accessible to the public.

They are planning concerts, theatrical productions, motion pictures, and a gallery to display the work of local artists.  It will all be family-friendly and inspire viewers and participants alike.

My posts as of late have been more about the music than typical blogs.  Recently, I have not been offering insights or tidbits of wisdom.  I have been letting the music speak for itself.  Thank you for listening!
