It has been a long Lent for us with unpleasant weather and too much to do in too little time. The promise of Easter is upon us, and all God asks of us is to pick our cross and follow Him.
Today’s focus is the preparations for the agape meal the apostles shared with Jesus.
God asks two things of us: To come to Him as we are and to progressively make ourselves better for Him. When we are in love, we do all sorts of silly things to show our beloved how much he or she means to us. We change ourselves, let go of vices, work-out, take vitamins, eat right, and sit through his or her favorite movies, because these are things that will prove our love for the other. If God is the center of our lives, how much more will we do for Him?
However sinful we may have been, God calls us to Himself, and He loves us more than we can possibly understand. This Easter we will come to His table. What will we do the Sunday after that?
