Today’s theme is “God: Our Constant Companion, Savior, and Friend.” Many times we feel alone in the world, wondering if we will ever find the happiness others seem to have. In the darkest of these moments, we may call out to the Lord, asking if He truly loves us, or if we have been left by the wayside as other, more deserate prayers are answered first.
We know that lasting peace can only come from God, but how do we gain the confidence to give ourselves to the Lord fully? St. Patrick had the answer. He prayed over 100 times a day, offering a simple petition: “Christ Be With Me.”
As we grow in our faith, we become more able to trust in God’s plan and accept our role in it. It is at this point that we realize God has been with us the whole time. The world is loud, and we just missed Him. In the end we are God’s people, and we belong to Him. As His children, our home is with the Lord.
