Eros and Psyche
In Greek Mythology Eros was the son of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love. Psyche, a mortal, was the most beautiful of all, causing Aphrodite to jealously plot against her life. Eros was sent to destroy Psyche, but fell in love with her. Unhappy with the match, Aphrodite demanded many trials of Psyche before she could be accepted into the god-family. One of the trials involved Persephone's box, Psyche was to deliver unopened. Curiosity overcame Psyche and she disobeyed.
